I hiked today to Mussala Hut and meet some stupid skiers and more stupid boarders on the CLOSED RUN!!!
For Anyone it is absolutly dangerous using this side!
The surface on this Run is completly Rocky and stony and the snowcover is Ruined today from the HONKS
So I ventured down there today (Thursday). Still officially closed, but skied well enough. Just take it easy and dodge the odd rock. It's snowed since the last tracks down there. Don't see a problem with going down closed runs personally as long as you know the risks, neither did the 3 lifties which rocked past us on a skidoo.
To clarify, the skidoo passed us on the trail between the gondola and the chair on Markudjik, no skidoos were on Musala. If BoroSport had issue with us being there, they would have stopped and told us so, but they didnt. There's a fine line between a run being open or closed, and if you're saying someone going down a closed run will wreck it for others, you're in dreamland. When they think there'e enough snow they'll open the run, regardless of if someone went down it a day/week/month before ...

People work hard all year to pay for a ski holiday, and if they want to try and make the most of rubbish snow levels by venturing down a closed run, as long as they're not putting anyone in danger then fair play to them. If you want to spend a whole week just lapping the Rila and Yastrebetz chairs then good luck to you.
