Am so glad you said that Judith. I was petrified cutting across the black & reds on that run - I would not have put it down as a green at all. I was learning on a board & found the whole Mussala pathway more difficult than the reds/blues at the top of the lifts.
Mussala pathway doesn't cross reds and blacks. It goes from the top of the gondola down. Think your thinking about the long green on the rila mountain. I would definitely not say the mussala pathway was a red. But it is quite narrow and icy. It is a green slope, but because it has a lot of tree cover. There are very icy patches which don't get much snow. With more snow it would be ok for beginners. We actually went down with some beginners between 7thand 15th of jan. It got worse and worse ...

It got worse and worse during the week though, and by the end of the week it was practically unskiable. Still fun to be had. Lots of smallish jumps to be done as well.
