6 Days skiing 2 days relaxing 2 days travel.
Tfrs Sofia to Bansko were so so dangerous - worst I have ever seen it and may actually complain to the tfr company as I want a safe transfer rather than heart stopping. Also when ever there were police slow down to speed limit and put on seat belt and as soon as past off with belt and accelerate away.

Skiing - well that was very enjoyable, snowed a couple of nights and also on and off during a few mornings. We generally got to the gondela for 10am (zero queue) as it was a holiday then skied until late ish afternoon.
We are beginners and only went on half a red all trip sampling instead all the blues and just learning as much as we could. Run 6 we found always to be quite dodgy i.e. half in the sun nice easy skiing while other half ice and 100 times quicker hard to learn for beginners but we will get it in the end.
Loved the top of the mountain 11 & 3 hard work when the snow got heavy but when the piste was nice and brushed really great ride. 10 a really good run and 5 wow one part is SOOO steep will know next time.
Beer prices up mountain - 5 lev totally acceptable.
Beer in Happy End 6 lev.. but a nice place, Lion Bar 3.89Lev expensive and the new decor isnt for me. We found many bars selling 0.5ltrs for 1.5levs.
Food - didnt have 1 bad meal anywhere and we ate in lots of places, we tried out the new "Eastern Food" in Pirin Golf which was very good - though the spelling was incorrect.
Accomodation - we stayed in Pirin Golf Downtown, this place is really progressing now really advanced. District one is complete on the outside the hotel likewise on the outside and so are the golf courses. Really really nice.
We also watched the Ski competition on the Black run for a while which was very good and showed how hard that is - one day we will get good enough to get onto it but first master blues and then get onto the reds.
We didnt try the ski road as it was a bit patchy and our legs/fitness had had it by then and we just wanted a nice relaxing cold beer.
Looking forward to 2 weeks in the summer.

Fair report Gareth, the late season conditions do give you better skiing in the morning, try earlier to take advantage of cooler temps and good skiing all day..
The downtown area at Pirin Golf is impressive, you would not know you were in Bulgaria, very modern and well appointed..
Was your transfer organised by Pirin Golf ?? and did you travel in one of their four wheel drives ??... We have seen these maniacs on the road... we had always assumed that their houses was burning down and they ...
