My boy Charley is now at the age when he can join proper ski school, Good for him but a worry for me , the last 4 years hes been in ski kindergarden where i have been happy to leave him ( nice and safe) but now he will be on the moutain with a group in ski school . Any idears or info to put my mind at rest.
Hi Jim,
I took my boys to the local dry slopes to 'bring them on' a bit before ski school in France. They stuck it out for the first year but really didn't like it. Mainly due to being stuck in separate groups and with French kids and instructors. They were always safe though and after the first morning we felt easier leaving them. My advice would be to try and get him in with other English children and perhaps an English instructor.
Good Luck
Steve
Kas will be better to advise you as she is in resort. Why not perhaps consider a 1 to 1 for him? I know Bobby (Kas better half) is an instructor and speaks perfect English as well as being a really nice bloke.
good advice pete, you learn so much more quickley with a few 1 to 1 lessons, theres was always a few people in a group lesson holding everyone else up!!
Hi jim!
Charley will be fine in the class "skied before"- as my kids were, he was doing well last year when i saw him- other than that, one to one for a few hours each day, then you ski with him!
Hes so little but good, and no fear- others will mother him! they did with mine!
Hope you have fun mate!
