NEW YEAR

Anyone stay at the Rila last new year? if so do they do anything for new years eve or is worth going out to bars etc, I'm going with the wife and my 2 sons (11 and 16 y/o)
Were going out on the 27th for a week and staying at the Rila.
Stayed there last Feb and had a fantastic time, just hope the forecasted snow starts falling. Temp is dropping.
Can't wait!!!!!!!

re: NEW YEAR

Del,

Stayed at the Rila a few years ago and its spot on for new years eve. THe slope outside the front of the hotel gets packed with local residents along with the holiday mob. Loads of fireworks etc. My thoughts are its the best venue for the kids as well. Dont forget that you will celebrate the UK new year as well at 2am local time.
