We are stopping here too..first time...stopped a few times in Bansko at Hotels never done appartments..so this will be new to us...i believe its at the bottom of gondola which is good news...Just hope its built ...heard different things about it being finished...still im sure if theres no roof..wont matter ..cus theres no snow ha ha...anyway who needs a roof after a few vodkas....glug glug...smile..re: Narcis appartments
We're staying at Narcis on 14th-21st with Balkan. We've just had a letter saying there is building work near to the hotel but no mention of any problems with Narcis apartments themselves. The only thing they said is that the kids club won't be open this season but I don't know if this is a kids club just for this hotel or not (don't have kids so it doesn't affect us).re: Narcis appartments
I've had an e-mail from Balkan saying these apartments will be ready and fully operational for out visit 11th-18th Feb so fingers crossed. Could do with a bit more info on what's actually in them though.re: Narcis appartments
Just got back from staying in the Narcis, we were the first in. We booked a one bedroom, but got a two bedroom with underfloor heating (very penthouse) you get bathrobes and slippers. We also used the spa facilites which got finished on our second day (excellent). Restaurant looked good but ate in the bulgarian mehenas which were superb. There is alot of building works around but it won't bother you, just don't fall down the pot holes.

You've got a 5/10 min walk to gondala. 10 mins walk into the old town (strongly recommend) very beautiful, food fantastic and cheap beer 1.4 lev, spirits the same. But ask for the house wine, because they will fetch you the expensive ones costing anything from 40-60+ levs which we got caught out with a few times.
Gondala queue horrific, go before 8.30 or after 12.00.
Prices of the drinks in the hotel bars are very expensive about 8 levs, in the pubs between 4-6 levs. Over all was a good holiday and the skiing was fine. Go with an open mind and you will enjoy.
