Need some advice

Going to borovets with my girlfriend and 4 of our other mates on the 31st of jan this year. We are taking around 550 lev each, will this be enough? as we have to hire ski's, sticks boots and get a lift pass when we are there. Also where is the best place to get these from and how much should i expect to pay, thanks for reading. Oh yes and how much is a pint of beer there, i have heard mixed reports some say 50p some say £1?

You will be pushing it a bit if you need to hire all your gear as it will work out twice as expensive than it would if you hired through your travel agent. They buy in bulk so get really good deals. The full pack will cost something like 300 levs for you each in the resort. That is not going to leave you much to party with. Beer is around a pound a pint, you may find several happy hours going on, but you are still gonna be pushed to have much spare.

My advice would be to return to your travel agents and book the gear there, but you need to get a move on.

The ski pass will cost you around £90 alone in resort. If you are skiing as a group and no one else has pre booked why don't you try the Albena Ski school? We are travelling independently and they will let us pre book a package with them and it work out to be very reasonable.

Most of the holiday companies use Borosport so if friends have already pre booked you would not be able to ski with them.

If you want more information on Albena then ask and I will pass the details ...

re: Need some advice

I have already said, a pound a pint,

If you are taking 550 lev as you said, that is less than 200 quid so I think you need to re-check your maths.

re: Need some advice

You need to take some more money m8.

Bulgaria might be cheap but if you don't watch it you'll be Levless before you are Legless.
