New Bansko Ski Runs??

Hey all - I have skied Bansko twice to date - I look at the piste map and there is the one big chair over on the right hand side... wasn't working/up and running either time.... what is the situ? Is this going to be going this year? Will there be increased runs off of it?Also - related question... are there random ski runs outside of town a little bit? e.g. down towards Razlog, Dobrinishte etc? I hear there is the odd random chair here and there...

The chair to the right of the piste map does not work although I have heard rumours that it might be replaced with a new chair at some point....
The company that run the lifts are terrible for giving information out to potential customers. I believe a new chairlift has been installed from midstation of the gondola (chalin Valog) down towards the village ski run. There used to be a draglift there. Apparently snowmaking has been installed on the run as well as a new cafe.

Should also have said there is a chailift south of Dobrinishte at Bezbog (I think it is the longest run in Eastern Europe?) Worth a visit though. There are plans so develop that side of the mountain, creating a Bansko sized ski area there (and possibly in the longer term to create a linked ski area)re: New Bansko Ski Runs??
Hey,The chair lift to the right as you come off of the Gondola does actually work but the run was closed as the run was very dangerous and multiple deaths occurred due to the run being narrow and trees dotted obscurely. The eventual plan *fingers crossed* is for the village Dobrinishte to develop and a gondola be built across the top of the mountain to a new complex there.
