I'm back in Borovets for the 2nd year running next Feb and was wondering whether it would be benefical to by my own set of boots. Anyone shed some light on whether it's worth getting them in the UK sales or wait until I get over to Boro? If so, can anyone recommend a good ski shop for purchase. Cheers.
Get them in this country before you go so that you can get them comfortable. I got mine a couple of months ago from Decathlon. Last week they still had some mens Rossingnol and Salomon boots reduced down to £40 - an absolute bargain. There are quite a few sales on at the moment selling last years styles before the new season starts.
Bought mine in Pamporovo 6 years ago and wore them the same day. Been skiing with them ever since and they are as comfortable as slipper - plus a third of UK full retail prices. That way you can select the right boots AND the right price.
Decathlon have the offers in store but do not show them on their website. There were some offers on boots in the Sheffield store last week. Don't know about any of their other stores - probably would have to give them a call first.
