New Year 2012/13

Hi PPL,

Anyone been to Borovets at New Year? Whats the snow like? And should I pre-book gala tickets at my hotel or pay when I get there?

Sort out with Kas and go to Bobbys Bar. You will have a whale of a time according to last years comments.

New Year in Boro is the best, We have been 4 times at Christmas and New Year and only had one with poor conditions (no snow sunshine and 18 degrees!!) but even that didn't spoil it. I wouldn't pay for the gala dinner as there is much better food outside of the hotels and I wouldn't be surprised if Kas had a bit of a party planned - there will be 13 of us there too! Deffo agree on missing out the galas, stuck in one place and paying through the nose, but it is the norm here... better to find a good open bar and snack/drink till the fireworks Very Happy Booze

Been twice over new year snow was pretty good both times, would have to agree with the others on the gala nite food not great and dragged on a bit, we stayed at the rila and not even sure we could have opted out , I'm sure u' ll have a great time, ps watch out for the fireworks,

Look for any post under Kas & Bobby on here. They run Bobbys bar in borovets and I am sure will be doing something over new year. Very freindly and excellent hosts but watch out for the shots, not that I drink much myself. If you find a post under Kas and Bobby on here highlighted in blue and click on the name and email them Im sure they will oblige and tell you what is happening.
