Hi all
As many of you will know Plovdiv outward bound used to be a bit of a disaster. However, they have streamlined their checking in process and this is now done at desks on landside of the airport rather than airside. There are denoted check-in desks and believe it or not people were q-ing happily. Once you've checked-in, only then do you have to go through the small door and go through passport control and then through to wait in the "depatue lounge" loosely using that phrase of course. Facilities are still lacking but at least the streamlined check-in has taken away some of the pain.
We came back on Saturday on the 6am flight to Belfast International, easy check-in, taxi-ing at 6am and no delays whatsoever. Can't ask for more than that.
Yes we noticed that too. It took us about 30 minutes from leaving the bus to checking in our bags - and then we went straight through to departures. Mind you, it was a further three hours before we took off ...
Not my experience on Saturday night.
Too many flights = too many people, not enough ckeck in desks and a free for all when your check in desk opens.
Very fraught to say the least!
Sofia for me next year methinks.
