New boards in Pamp

Last year I visited Pamporovo and loved the snow but the hire snowboards were old and worn out so will there be new gear for hire in 2004? Or should I buy my own equipment?

The Snowshack at the bottom of the mountain have a good selection for hire and sale. Last year my travel mate got the 'snowboard pack' from Bulgarian holidays but, the eqipment wasn't the best so he ended up buying new boots boards and bindings anyway. The snowshack has a good selection from under £100 up to £lots!

re: New boards in Pamp

There was rumour that all the equipment in Pamps was being replaced for this year. A week or so ago, a posting from someone returning from Pamps implied that that was NOT the case. PP did some investigation and assured us that this was still happening but no definite date as yet. He said he would keep us informed, but has been struck down with computer problems. (not that anyone believes him, looks like everyone thinks its too much Booze over the festive season.

Thankgod its only works computers not mine, told them the software was bloody useless when they bought it, but what do i know, i mean i only teach the subject, the guys who do it every day, (mostly taught by me, in this area) obviously kno more.

re: New boards in Pamp

hey u...

we went to Pamps over Christmas for the first time so I dont know if the boards r any better...

But what I can tell u... is the first day they gave me some shody board which looked older than me! So the next day I asked for a different one and ended up choosing one for myself.. which was a lot better and practically new..

So be firm and forward... either that ot shack up with a ski instructor - u get first dibs!!!
