I am flyint to Pamps on Sunday and an a bit worried about the ski boots we are going to hire there. Is it worth buying my own as I really suffer with aching arches and don't want un-comfortable boots to spoil my skiing. How much would I pay here for a pair?
Hi Caz,
You skied plenty before or a begginer?
can you have the option of superior boots?
who you booked with?
Never ben to Pamps but someone will advise!
Caz--if its your first time wait until u decide if u like skiing. They will fit u with a pair that 'should' be ok --KEY THING--do not be afraid to say if they hurt at any time--they will change them.
I have horrendous problems with boots, first time I went they were agony, generally you can find a pair in the hire place that fit better than most but you have to find out the hard way by sking for a day in uncomfortable ones, I now have my own and because of my high arches they are still painful, so best you try the hire ones first and if you love sking then go for your own pair.
presumably you are a beginner?
i would not advise a beginner buying their own boots though! what if they decide after a week they cant ski and its not for them!
(could allways sell them on here i suppose!)
just go with the hire ones and keep changing them, you should find worst case scenario is three days before you get the best fit.....
then as you will no doubt love it go and buy some in March when they are all reduced in the sales....
