Not sure now. One of the regular posters on this board was out in June and saw no signs of any work going on. There appears to be a bit of a battle going on with the environmentalists out there. Time will tell.
Thats the truth, everybody wants them but the developers are having to tread very carefully with the Greens. Rumour has it that they already have a court case for the existing development...
The municipal council voted 11 for + 6 abstentions to approve the new runs. I was there in June and apparently there are issues with the current slopes. They did not put logs at right-angles to the slopes to hold the pistes firm and apparently tons of rocks and earth were washed away when the snow thawed. No major long term impact but not good for PR.
They have been told to sort out the mess before any new runs can be started.

Also new lifts planned from the gondola station exit to the base of the Todorka. This means more choice for beginners - two wide runs fed by button + t-bar. Also this will open up the top of the mountain during the early season when it was inaccessible because the 'Shilli' area takes longer to build up the snow.
Good news BB, thanks for the update..
When you were there in June did you see the group of EU delegates who were there on a fact finding mission to determine the effect on the national park ?? A friend was translating for the party but i have been unable to contact him since my last visit to find out what happened.
