Hello, we are planning to go on our first ever skiing holiday, I really Bugaria but have been told the food and hotels are rubbish and we should go to italy or France instead. Can anyone give us some advice please?? Thanks

food is worth trying but soem food same as anywhere youl like some of it wont like some of it but worth trying
We've only ever been to Bulgaria (Borovets twice). We find the hotels very comfortable and clean (if a little basic) and the food on half board average at best.
However, the holiday itself is very reasonably priced compared to France, Austria etc (nearly half the price), the food and drink in the town is very good and very cheap (we eat out at least 3 or 4 times for not a lot), the instruction is first class and the skiing is great for beginners.
If you are after a fashionable holiday ...

If you are after a fashionable holiday it's probably not for you, but if you are after value for money you can't go wrong.
We took our first family skiing holiday in Borovets last year and loved it. The people were friendly the scenery beautiful and the prices very competive £1.20 for treble JD and coke, 12" Pizza £4, steak about £7. If the food in the hotels isn't up to much eating out won't sting you over the odds which was nice.
We stayed at the Rila by the way and couldn't fault it.
