Never been Bulgaria or skiing b4 can anyone reccomend the best place for 3 couples to go and nice accomodation? Don't mind a hotel or a 6 sleeping villa/chalet as long as it is not cramped.
Girls have their hearts set on open fire to sit round but would like to be near nightlife. I am the only 1 doing boarding. Is it best to go HB or is it better to eat out? Whats prices like?
I've found that trawling the travel agents and bouncing them off eachother is proving the best way to get a bargain. Much cheaper than online (for some unusual reason) when you make sure that you account for transfers, lift pass, equipment hire and tuition. I'd definately recommend going to a few places and getting them to better eachother's quotes. For me, Going Places, Thomas Cook and Thompson have all been very helpful and it seems the Hotel Lion is the best value at around £442ppn ...

For me, Going Places, Thomas Cook and Thompson have all been very helpful and it seems the Hotel Lion is the best value at around £442ppn (3rd-10th Mar). That's 7nights HB, Gatwick flights to Sofia, transfers, central Bansko 4* hotel, lift pass, ski and boot hire, and tuition (based on 2 sharing a twin/dbl room). The Katarino hotel comes out about £35 cheaper, is more luxurious, but 12km out of town.
Don't know if Carl is male of female, does not matter you will love sking and you will love Bulgaria have skied in all three resorts in Bulgaria all good and have ther own little quirks .If you are looking for the best accomadation ,stay in The Orlavites in Pomporovo if thats how to spell it .
Stayed last year couldn't speak highly enough about this Hotel chalets are crap in Bulgaria.Orlavites is five star and is connected to all the action by an under ground tunnel.Enjoy.
Best hotel in Bulgarian Ski resorts has to be the Kempinski Grand Arena in Bansko. The Lion is cheaper but the Kempinski is right next to the gondola and is fara far far more luxurious.
Have you thought about a 3 bed 2 bath apartment in Bansko ?
Thanks for your replies everyone..most helpful!
I think it will be a choice between Borovets or Pamps.
My mate is off to Pamps for new year so will grill him when he's back to find out what he thinks and that will probably make our minds up! Will let the girls know about the chalets being crap as though they may be picturesque i don't think they'll like the space and basic facilities after a few days as they will want their luxuries!
