Newcastle departures!

Bad news for those departing from Newcastle im afraid, the departure time has changed to 17.50 hours! (plovdiv expected arrival at 23.00hours!) Thats with the only airline to Bulgaria from Newcastle, BALKAN.What with the transfer etc afterwards, i think a lot, especially with kids may change, arriving in resort in the early hours of the morning etc.
sad news, but there may be a late bargain to be snapped up!

Are they giving you the option to cancel? I doubt they are obliged to unless the change is over 12 hours.

if you change will possibly have to pay a fee but should be able to.

we were supposed to take off 3.30 last couple of years .first year 8 hour delay got in 4.30
last year took off on time got transfered to other airport got in 4.30
hoping to get there before 4 am this trip

I have not booked yet, and the kids are still wanting to go despite the bad flying time, suppose they could sleep on the plane then on the transfer from Plovdiv. Get straight to bed upon arrival at hotel, then be ready for ski school the next morning. I would spend the morning unpacking etc then take to the slopes in the afternoon.
Was not sure when I could get holls or I would have booked allready- Have been looking around on the websites, and still cant get cheaper, plus knowing the place ...

They could also change again.Balkan only used to fly on a Saturday but now also do Sunday and lots of Airports now, so if flights not full they join 2 airports together. Have shared flight with 3 other different airports since flights started from Newcastle
Will have to see for this year
Surprising how kids can cope with night flight especially with something great to do when they get there can always finish early first day and catch up sleep at teatime
