OK, I doubt that this post will see the light of day.

I was contributing in a fairly light-hearted kind of way to a thread started by me, last night. We were discussing snow threads and their duplication.

In the past I'd been saddened to see posters complaining about their posts and threads being deleted and I imagined that the mods must have had their reasons.

But I was staggered at the speed at which the thread in which I had been partaking was 'spiked' last night.

What really annoyed me was the implication that, with merely 25 posts to my name, my opinion didn't carry much muster around here.

Well, we all have to start somewhere.

Mods, you do a great job under severe pressure, but I do think you have a real issue with one of them.

I can't be bothered to come back and argue the case and I can't be bothered to let the site organisers know what harm one mod is doing on here. If you can't leave posts and threads intact then it destroys the whole validity of the forum and devalues the whole site in terms of value for casual browers.

'Discussion board' becomes a misnomer and you should seriously think about changing that term to reflect the censoring that takes place.

I know this post won't worry anyone two hoots, but I just needed to say something. I'm really sad that anyone should feel so sensitive about things that they have to reach for the delete button in such an obvious demonstration of a huff at such a trivial matter. Goodness know how wound up they must get about the serious stuff that really matters.
