From your experience when might the quiet weeks be in Bansko, was there from 31st Jan to 8th Feb and found it busier than I expected, still fab but usually go in March, is there ever a week when it's not a holiday for one country or another?
Thanks for all the helpful info.
Generally most of March is pretty good, this year though Easter is at the start of April so the end of March might be busier...
Its half term this week, and the Greek half term , Bansko is rammed... Gonna be big queues
Still great snow though....
Is greek half term saturday to saturday? just wondering if from Saturday to monday will be quieter? You and Steve are like the Bulgarian ski oracles!! thank you Night muffy!!!
I always go 2nd or 3rd week in Jan, after the greek and other holidays have finished, this year went 16-23 Jan, although didnt use gondola in mornings (free hotel bus to top gondola station), others in my school group said no queues at 8.30 each morning.
Longest queue was about 5-6 mins all week and we had the competitions on during the week.
Only downside was a few pistes closed for competition and pre race training but plenty of room elswhere.

It can be very cold though, one day was below -10 at top and with the wind was pretty dammed cold, but conditions pretty good otherwise.
Agree with Muffy, March always seems fairly quiet, and with a good base of snow and some sun can be the most pleasant conditions, one year I couldnt come in Jan and came in mid march, the snow was still good and there were people sunbathing at lunch time. It froze at night and the pistes were crisp to start the day but soon softened (bliss), you just cant beat skiing in the sunshine in a tee-shirt!!!
I totally agree with Don, March skiing is the best, longer days, can be warmer with sunshine... and you can get lucky, how about the end of March last season ??? 1.6 m of snow in 24 hours, the lightest champayne powder... it don't get any better
