No more pamps for me :O

After the uncertainty of the snow and the general feeling that pamps is very much for beginner ski/boarders we've changed our hols - allocation on arrival to L'alpe D'huez/Les Deux Alpes... both awesome resort and lots and lots of snow at the mo, with more on the way!

The lack of snow and sunshine forecasts for next week, with the growing 'brown' on the midway webcam spurred it on!

Im going to try Bankso/Boro fairly soon tho, they seem more suited for me!

It is without doubt NOT a beginners resort only.

Several long and testing reds and some pretty steep blacks make it an all round resort loved by many at all levels.

Been there 15 times and I can ski at any level and still I love Pamporovo.

Shame you cup is always half full when talking about Pamporovo Charlie. Confused

Charlie,

I have snowboarded since 1996 and in many european resorts. I am no beginner yet still love Pamps. I even go there in the summer. Love the place.

I went there once at Xmas. Hardly any snow but still had fun boarding. Local people and food were great. Still undeveloped and in its infancy. If you want England in the snow, go somewhere else. Leave the pancakes at SkiSchool 2 to me. Rohan.

arron, it is a good resort but what i meant is if you want a real challenging resort pamps isn't best.

snow at the mo in Alpe d'huez is GREAT.just back from there second time this year and will go again soon this year.every single run was openned apart of a couple for 2 -3 days -avalanche-proned.and you know what-ski runs are plenty in all directions-queues-minimal to not existent.prices of a lift passes actually the same price as the ones in Boro or Bansko.will go to check Boro though on tuesday for 4-5 days before getting into gear in the Alps.
