Yup I had the same experience - The place is a hole and the instructures hit onto my 4 chick friends. Got to New Zealand or Australia its cheaper and the snow is better.re: Not a good place to visit
Oh my god - I'm now really worried about going. I'm off to Borovets this weekend for my first ski trip. I was really looking forward to it originally, but after reading lots of reviews of people who have just come back - I'm worried its not going to be what I had imagined.Sorry Fraser and Sarah

I've been to Borovets three times and never, ever experienced what you've had. I've travelled as a single female, with another single female friend and not experienced any hassle.Maybe your friend was being a bit flirtatious with the instructor and that's why she got the treatment she did.

Pete you are obviously a Bulgarian or Local who wants to fool us to go to Bulgaria.Like most things in Bulgaria it is always too good to be true.

Just because one or two people had a bad experience out of how many 100?? doesn't mean the place is bad. I'm sure everyone has a bad experience on some holiday some time in their life.re: Not a good place to visit

I went with a positive attitude and to be fair i still had a good time.
Its the typical bulgarian "you get this much" and actually get half as much, when you say somthing they either dont understand or get anoyed with you.
The Ski show for example 20 lev to watch a bunch of instructures ski down a hill, I can hit that jump and do a 360 without falling over. Its just take take take.
Its either cheap and nasty or you pay through the roof you get puss.
It is deffo worth spending ...
Its the typical bulgarian "you get this much" and actually get half as much, when you say somthing they either dont understand or get anoyed with you.
