I haven't ski'd for 16 years and am going to Borovets on 28 Jan, can't sleep with excitement.
I am going with my wife and 9 year old son, who haven't ski'd before. Have we chosen the right place in Borovets, what's the ski hire equipment like, i believe the ski schools are good. We're staying at the Hotel Ela, any views? still giddy....
You've made the right choice. The tuition is very good. As to the ski hire equiptment, it can be a bit hit and miss. As well as nice new carver skis, theres also some old stuff as well. My advice, is on the first day, get there early and get the best skis and boots etc. If you are handed old looking skis, politly ask for a better pair. As long as you ask nicely, they usally oblige.
I'm going that week too! should be good.
hello Tony, don't worry; I had a "break" of 14 years!
just get on the ski's and in 10 minutes you can do it all again liked you never stopped
True! it feels so natural: weird
Enjoy BG

I skied in Borovets last year after a break of 16 years, and it's true, you do pick it up again after 10 minutes. It's as everyone says, just like riding a bike, or swimming, or as my instructor Vesko said, a man with a robust Eastern European sense of humour 'Just like shagging'
Enjoy!
