Have just come off the phone from one of the ski instructors there and he said it great there at the moment sun and snow.
Been there twice always stayed at the Samokov going back next week. I know it's 4* but it's not UK standard of 4*. However don't let that put you off It's clean and safe, The breakfast is very good loads of choice, The evening meal can be hit and miss, but eating out is so cheap that we very rarely ate in. If you go with an open mind you will have a great time ...

Borovets is the party capital of skiing in Bulgaria
Borovets are full of them, some of the places I like to go are the Happy Duck (the chicken with lemon and olives gorgeous and I don't like olives), mamacitas a good texmex, Francos for Pizzas and the magic house for a good traditional meal. There are loads of places you wont be able to go to them all. I hope you enjoy your stay there.
We are off in 18 days to Boro, stayed in Samokev last year, which seemed fine to us, food was good if unimaginitive, but loads of it.
We are in the Rila this year, so will see how they compare.
Just bought my own boots yesterday, woohoo, they are damn sexy!
