ORPHANAGE - Pamps

Last week, somebody on the site mentioned an orphanage in Chepalare, near Pamporovo. Is there somebody in Pamporovo who co-ordinates a collection or should I go directly to the orphanage with some warm clothes, colouring pencils and a few teddy bears for the kids. If so, will a taxi take me and is there access in the late evening/early night. Any news welcome - I'd like to make some effort for the kids less lucky than I.

I think whoever posted said that you can give them to a thomson rep, but am not sure.

The Orphange is in Stoikite which is about 3km from Pamps. Yep talk to any of the reps in Pamps and they will arrange it for you. Anyone who is finished with their Gloves and Hats etc for the year, these are always welcome.

hi, i didnt know about any orphanage, but now i do i will go and get some things and bring whatever i can on saturday. i wouldnt mind going along either, if youd like the company and to share a taxi let me know, thanks

If it is possible to visit, I'd love to share a bit of time with the kids. I don't know if it is politically correct though or the attitude to visitors there - best wait until we check it with the reps out there. But yes, if it is possible, we can certainly share.

If any of you good people are going back to the Albena Area 1st two weeks in June let me know, you can always accompany me to an orphanage in Burzitsa near Provadia some 40 miles inland from Varna. here we take schooling items and fresh fruit, all bought in Bulgaria. Clothing is a problem when you have about 60 kids from 8 to 16 you are unable to give the same to each. let me know.
