2 of us heading to Bansko March 4th.
We have been numerous times over the years.
Anyone recommend a guide or group of who would show us some of the off piste routes. We are quite competent and confident enough skiers. We are not looking to ski off the north face of the Eiger or anything like that but depending on conditions at the time would like to go off the beaten path a bit. We have been down into the bowl off to the right of Tordorka many times and are now looking for a bit more ...

If the current snow conditions prevail I would strongly advise you not to consider this as the risk of avalanche will be high. If you do decide against my advice then make sure you go as you have stated, with a qualified guide who puts common sense before reckless thrills.
I am aware that it may not be safe due to the snow conditions that are being experienced to date and a possible increase in temperatures by then giving rise to an increased avalance risk so it will be very dependant on conditions and someone knowing what they are at

At the moment the best is to be found in the trees, the sides of blue 10, connecting routes through to pistes and under the gondola and chairs... All faces and open areas still very unstable... Try Dobriniste, was there a week ago, possibly the best days off-piste in 20 years... March will be better, but likely the snow conditions will be ...
