I have read a few comments lately (well they come up every year) that Balkan charter flights are "Old Planes"
In fact the plane you will be flying on is a Tupolev 154. And yes first impression is they do not look like a Boeing. Most of them now in use are built circa 92 onwards, hardly old in aviation terms. By comparision Ryan air has only just stopped using 737 200 series in fact they may still be flying a few of them. Cica mid 70's!!!!

May also interest you that the largset British tour Op. to Florida Travel City Direct are using 747 200 series again circa mid 70's. They are just upgrading to the oh so new 300 series, early 80's.
How about the late Concorde oh yes that had its beginings in the 50's!!!!!! And built in the early 70's. How many people would have given that a second thought as an old aircraft?
Go to the USA and they have some of the oldest fleets in the world! I took a flight from Miami to the Bahamas in a 727 again a late 60's aircraft. Last models in 84.
Lastly their is only 1 fatal crash of a bulgarian TU 154 and that was way back in 78! So relax they are not old just a bit different to you average Airbus/ Boeing. And hey they do have 3 engines!!!
