Hi allAnyone stayed here this year? Been at Bor before re-fit(average hotel - nice food) and Ela(nice hotel-average food) previously and wondered if this will be a lot worse? Got a single room here and am expecting the worst really as it was much more reasonable than the other offers.
Any feedback pos or neg would be good

havent been inside but it had a refit over the summer as it was a bit rough, so should be better nowre: Olymp Hotel 2009
I think it's a bit of a trek but then I hate walking in ski boots
You may need to allow a bit more for taxis although it is a picturesque walk.

Thanks - I don't mind the walk at all but read some ropey reviews ! Hopefully if it's had a refit it'll be OK.Thanks for advice

The Olymp is located at the top of one of the nursery slopes to the right of the Rila - don't remember the name. A button lift takes you up to where the path crosses the slope to the Hotel.
Very much doubt you'll need a taxi to get too and from it. Walk up the road past the Gondola and Flora Hotel and then cross the slope. Store ski's at the Hotel and ski down in the morning!!

Can't remember a review being posted for this season but as you say, if it's had a refit it may not be too bad. If it's under occupied you could always ask for a better room if necessary. If it's that bad you may have to stay out longer

I know where it is now, not far to walk at all.All I need is a bed and a shower. Don't mind the wet room(bathroom) that a lot of people have complained about on other sites (i.e. no slimy shower curtain can only be a good thing). Would have to be really bad to affect my stay - as you say if the worst comes to the worst I'll be out on the pop more
