Hi Julie. I think whoever said about that 300m walk meant the ski road at the bottom of the 12 run that leads to mid gondola station at Chalin Valog. I'm certainly not saying the conditions are good, but I don't think they are as bad as you fear. There is also another saving grace as the downhill ski competition will be finished tomorrow and the pristine top red and Tomba black will finally be open after almost a month of being closed to the public. Try to regain that positive thought. I've been on an emotional roller coaster watching up-an-down snow forecasts for the past two weeks. I even had a friend from England cancel her visit last week and reschedule for this week based on the forecasted 50cm dump that turned out to be pie in the sky. I've finally resigned myself to the 'what will be, will be' mentality - and I feel much better for it!
