re: Orlovetz Hotel

its supposed to be the best hotel in Pamps - it was brand new last year - never went in it but heard good reports - other than a few teething problems which is to be expected with a new hotel

Pretty Boring though. Not much of any type of atmosphere ? Connected to the perilik by tunnel. Much more activity around there.
If you want somewhere quiet and boring, its probably up your street. However you could book another hotel and with the savings have a wail of a time in pamps. After all you only really sleep in it

re: Orlovetz Hotel

I had a look around in January. Would agree with Mr Walloper's comments above. It is quite smart for a Bulgarian hotel but still looks a bit 80s???!!! Cant see it being worth the extra expense. Look at the Mourgavets or Perelik instead.

re: Orlovetz Hotel

I stayed in the Orlovets last week (I know, but I had to go out in the summer to set up a property I have just bought).

Hotel is very classy, with rooms and all facilities looking brand new. Great views, nice room, small pool and quality gym. There is a piano bar on the top floor. Various spa facilities available, although we did not try them.

We were outnumbered about 10/1 by the staff as the place was virtually empty !

One note of caution, there is building going on nearby so ...

One note of caution, there is building going on nearby so there is currently a bit of disruption. It might have finished by the winter however.

re: Orlovetz Hotel

It's a huge dusty building site ! There are properties springing up all over the place, and I hope that someone is going to extend the lift system, otherwise all these extra people are quickly going to get fed up with standing in queues.

I am sure it will look a whole lot better with a good covering of snow though.

re: Orlovetz Hotel

That's the worry Mark. To many people and not enough lifts/runs. I was their in Jan and to be honest it was far to busy in places and not plesent at all.

re: Orlovetz Hotel

This will be are fourth consecutive year staying in Pamps. We have stayed in the Hotel Pamporovo for the last three and have really enjoyed it, although we have opted to stay in the newly built Orlovetz this time round. Not long now to go, really looking forward to it. Should be great with the 'new' White Hart' and hoping for some good skiing (snow permitting!)

re: Orlovetz Hotel

Mark, I assume the rooms all have baths in Orlovetz. Did you by any chance notice if the bath was normal size or 3/4 size? We stayed in Mourgavetz last season, and were very disappointed that the bath was too small for an average height adult...
