Hi
Although I've read the discussion board all night am still slightly confused about how much piste there is to ski on.
My brochure says Borovets has 40 km and 40 kms more planned for this season. But I read on this site that there is only 15kms of Piste.
Is that not very much and does it mean crowded pistes?
And is the one man lift definately out meaning no skiing on that nice-looking blue run?
Your advice much appreciated!
re: PLS ANSWER ME! Is there enough piste in borovets?
Hi Lucy
According to the posts on this site, the single chairlift is out of action all season. Apparently it is going to be replaced by a four man chair, but not this season. It is a bit of a shame, I love the long blue run back down, and was looking forward to taking my girlfriend down it, it's the first time for her.
I don't know if it will affect the crowds on the pistes, in our experience, the only time it was crowded was on the nursery slopes on Sunday. That may change for us this ...

I don't know what level of skiing you're up to, I'm just starting on the reds, and looking forward to making it down the yastrebets runs.

Thanks Phil
We're also going half-term staying at the Samakov (hopefully). I am quite an experienced skier but am going to teach my four year old daughter this year, so will be staying around the nursery slopes. I'm hoping to get her proper tuition whilst out there though for an hour or so, so I will have time to do a bit of skiing. The group I'm with are all beginners so they should be okay.
15kms just doesn't seem very much and although that in itself doesn't bother me I really hope it ...
Thanks Phil

15kms just doesn't seem very much and although that in itself doesn't bother me I really hope it doesn't mean it will be too crowded- especially being half-term.
That said- I'm sure we'll have a wicked time!
re: PLS ANSWER ME! Is there enough piste in borovets?
I'm sure we will have a good time. I'm looking forward to giving my girlfriend lessons on the nursery slopes in the evening when it's quiet. It would have been nice to take that gentle blue all the way back down, but I suppose we'll have to wait for next year to do that. If you see a big tall bloke with a little blonde woman who has a laugh like a train crash, that will be us....say hello
