Just thought I would let you know I spoke to Thomson today re extra baggage and although at first like you said it was a straight no I persisted and spoke to someone higher up and got an agreement that if I fax a letter on headed paper giving my details, flight no and agreement that I am carrying donations for the orphanage that there should be no reason not to give me extra baggage free of charge. Best of all when I asked how much they said there is no limit within reason. Am waiting for Carole or Amanda to send me something suitable to fax off and will let you know if I manage to get the extra allowance. If I do it should mean that anyone travelling with Thomson's, Crystal and First Choice should get the same deal as they are all owned by the same company. I actually spoke to someone at Thomsonfly not Thomson ski not sure if this made a difference. I also have a contact name and a telephone no which I can pass onto you if I am successful for you to give to anyone else. The only downside is that they said they have a certain allowance which is calculated either on a daily, weekly or monthly basis so it is better to ask early if possible. Saying that I am flying saturday and am ever hopeful.
