Pamp Pete

Hi Pete,

Am staying in the Perelik next week and wondered do they have safety deposit boxes (and if so how much do they cost) and where is the best place to change money.

Also, is 14 months the record for someone to have skied in Borovetz (Jan '03), Bansko (Jan '04) and Pamporovo (Mar '04) Very Happy

Hope there is some more snow or else I'll have to Booze all week !!!!!

re: Pamp Pete

Far more enjoyable than Borovetz TBH.

Smaller, Friendlier, better facilities (Pirin Vs Samakov), cheaper.

I guess a big thing for me was the fact it was a real village as opposed to Borovetz which I found a bit tacky (but enjoyable).

I think it also depends on your circumstances, as half a couple I would say Bansko but if I was single it would probably be a bit tame.

That is the reason my gf and I choose Bansko, for the simple fact that it looks and sounds less commercialised and more traditional than any other Bulgarian resort

Facilties also look better

Looking forward to it

Hi Bonzo,

Reckon you could be a candidate for the Guiness Book Of Records Booze

Saftey boxes are available at reception. Not sure of the cost as the missus always takes care of that but it's something like 20 lev per week I think.

People will often tell you that they get a better exchange rate here, or a better exchange rate there, or off a waiter etc etc etc. Truth is, 2.6 or 2.7 or 2.8 really is a few pence difference and I cannot be bothered to go to all the trouble of researching ...

Use the hotel lobby, it is quick simple and fair.
