Pamporovo - Don't Worry!!!

Going to Pamps for the third year running next month and some of the postings have started to get me worried - but there is no need!! Prior to my first trip I probably had the same concerns of all first time visitors - is it safe, will I be ripped off, what is the skiing like, what is the food like, etc, etc.

I have had a fantastic time visiting a country that many people would not even think of going to. Obviously the cost of living is low which means one bargain of a holiday.

I have had a fantastic time visiting a country that many people would not even think of going to. Obviously the cost of living is low which means one bargain of a holiday.

I used to go sking in Austria (Schladming), Italy (Livingo) and Andorra. Compared to these resorts there is little or no queing at the ski lifts, you will not be fleeced at bars / estaurants on the slopes, the locals are far friendlier, you meet lots of other open minded people (otherwise they woudn't have booked Bulgaria in the first place)and the quality of instructor is (i my opinion) far superior.

You also have this web site which I visit now and again to, I must admit, worry about the weather, but also to see what is happening in the resort and who is going where and when. You can tell by this site what kind of atmosphere will meet you in Bulgaria and you cannot fail to have an excellent time. I have said it before, this is well policed by the imformative Pamporovo Pete te site policeman.

Please do not let some of the postings worry you.

Have a great time - I will be there from the 5th Feb with my 9 year old son (boys on tour). As I understand I yet again will miss Pamp Pete by one day. Pete - please don't trash the Murgavets.
