The opening of the new winter season 2011-2012 in Pamporovo will be held on the 10th of December, at the foot of Snejanka peak. The total number of snow cannons this season will be 110. Production of artificial snow has already started. Hotel owners are expecting an increase of the number of tourists from Balkan countries such as Greece, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Macedonia and Bulgaria. Pamporovo will also be a host of the European Ski Championship this year but I 've yet to see dates. ...
