We are a family of 6 travelling to pamps sat10th feb first time skiers. A bit worried about the snow reports, do these just relate to the slopes. Is there enough snow around the resorts for the kids to have snowball fights, go sleding, make a snowman etc. Also the slopes look like they are in the middle of a forest can you go exploring around the local area. The webcam looks like there is enough snow but would like to hear from somebody there if possible. By the way we can't ...

Hi Teresa, I was in Pamporovo around this time last year. 9 of us went, 6 were first time skiers & had a great time. The slops are indeed in a forest but I would suggest not going wondering. It can be tough to judge the depth of the snow. A friend of mine tried to take a short cut last year & fell into a stream which nobody could see as it was completely covered over with snow. Try to stick to the ski slops unless you’re with someone who knows the area very well. Enjoy yourself……
