Hello - I'm wondering if anybody can help me, I've booked a holiday to go to Pamporovo on the 15th Jan. With the lack of snow at the moment I have a few questions I would really like to know the answer to.
1. Are the travel companies sorting out any transfers to other nearby resorts that might have more snow than Pamporovo?
2. How much would a taxi cost from the centre of Pamporovo to the resort of Chepelare?
3. Do you need a lift pass at Chepelare if you already have one for ...

3. Do you need a lift pass at Chepelare if you already have one for Pamporovo and if so how much does it cost?
4. Is the Perelik Hotel as bad as everybody says it is? On the website Trip Advisor it gets a lot of very bad reviews.
5. With the 9 day forecast showing warm temperatures and wall to wall sunshine? How much skiing can be done just using Pamporovo?
Hi Steve
If there is little snow in Pamporovo then Chepelare will probably be worse (or at least as bad). It has a seperate lift pass - not sure of taxi cost though but well worth going there for a day if the snow is good! There are no other resorts nearby that would be better. The only alternative would be to transfer to Bansko or Borovets but I don't imagine they would do that unless Pamporovo was completely closed.

The Perelik is very popular and centrally located. I know many people who have no problem at all there, just don't expect the Ritz - usual gripes about the food not being hot enough but that is Bulgaria!
The 15th is still a couple of weeks away and there is time for things to improve. Keep your fingers crossed.
1, Pamps has more than anyone else at the mo in Bulgaria so won't be an issue.
2, Not sure, I normally hire a car but i would negotiate hard with cabs. It's not that far though (10 mins) so shouldn't be too much if you share it.
3,You do need a separate pass but it's not expensive. Prob says on the chepelare website.
4,Don't know, never stayed there I'm afraid.
Depends how good you are really. If you are beginner/intermediate there will be ample if you include a day or two ...

Depends how good you are really. If you are beginner/intermediate there will be ample if you include a day or two at Chep. The temps are set to go up but there is a good base set now - check this site, is up to date now - (hope allowed to paste it )
and you can see for yourself. More runs and lifts opening daily and with at least 3 more days forecast of freezing temps and showers you should get some good ski-ing in.
