Could anyone recommend the best resort to go to during Febriary half term for a party of 3 adults and 2 kids. Also where can you watch Sky (for the footie of course). Finally is the White Hart being rebuilt in Pamps???? Answers on a postcard cheers folks
This kind of coincides with the Scottish school holidays They only get one day here + 2 in service days, which this year for the first time they have put all in the same week. (Last year they straggled a weekend which was useless for booking holidays).
So we're taking the 10 year old out of school for two days to make up the week. (Nasty letter still to arrive from the school for doing this!)
Anyway, my question was going to, does this match up ...
We're going to Pamps on 5th February.

I've never skied at school holidays before, so this will be first for me. I'm frightened it's going to be really busy complared to the middle of January.
(What worse is we've just booked to have New Year in Canada next year, so expecting that to be very busy!)
I am trying to book for half term and it seems the dates in the UK are 13th -17th although my daughters school is also off on the 10th. This is the case for Kent, Hants, Essex, hampshire and a few more counties so i guess the dates do not coincide. Lucky you!
Hi Vicky, I believe the majority of schools are clsoed for half term in England for the period 13-17 (inclusive). We've been to Pamp's before over XMAS (two years ago)and it was fantastic (once the snow arrived). As for being really busy I suppose the resort is probably just as busy at other times, so its neither here nor there if they're kids or not. Hope you have a wondeful time.
To be honest I was
a) hoping the dates would coincide, so that our ten year old would have some play mates
and
b) hoping they wouldn't so it would be a little quieter.
As long as Rachel (the ten year old) doesn't hate her first full week on skis (we've only had her at Avimore for the day so far), it'll be a great week.
My son's half term week is w/c 20.2.06 so we've had to take him out of school as we are going w/c 5.2.06 as well because of my husbands shifts. I think I/son may have spoke to you previously, we're going to Finlandia, Pamps. My son will be 13 (b/day 13.1.06) so looking forward to some teenage grunts any moment now.
Hope your daughter enjoys it, I'm sure she'll be fine. We all went as first timers this year and had a great time as you can tell because we booked it all again ...

Which airport are you going from - we fly from Humberside.
We're already getting the teenage 'grumps' and she's only 10! God help us when she gets to 13!
We're geting on your flight before you (in Edinburgh). So I'll look out for you as you board the plane.

We've downgraded to the Rozhen this time (The only place we could get a family room and a single room for the dates that we wanted), but since I plan on spending every daylight hour on the slopes, every evening hour in the bar and every night time hour asleep, the standard of the accomodation doesn't worry me too much.
