Pamporovo Hotel Problems!!

I am currently in the resort in the Hotel Pamporovo and the hotel is in chaos.
They have massivly overbooked the hotel meaning nearly everyones bookings have been changed.
We booked 2 twin rooms, and arrived to get one twin room with 4 beds in it. This has happened to several people. Nearly everyone you speak to has had problems. When we arrived two families with the same surnames were put in the same room as the hotel thought they were one family. The stories flying round are ...

I am currently in the resort in the Hotel Pamporovo and the hotel is in chaos.
They have massivly overbooked the hotel meaning nearly everyones bookings have been changed.
We booked 2 twin rooms, and arrived to get one twin room with 4 beds in it. This has happened to several people. Nearly everyone you speak to has had problems. When we arrived two families with the same surnames were put in the same room as the hotel thought they were one family. The stories flying round are unbelievable, it is staggering how badly they have organised the hotel, they have even turned booked guests away! And the resort is full meaning you can't get in another hotel, which we wanted to do.
The manager refused to see guests and left two reception girls to deal with about 30 angry groups which took over three hours, with the help of a (brilliant) Crystal Rep who was dragged into the whole affair and had to cancell her plans to help.
The reps have been excellent and apologised and have got letters with the general complaint which the hotel will sign and then allow us to claim compensation when we get home. Also they have got us free drinks in the hotel bars.
We talked to other guests and this is apparently the second week this has happened, if you are heading out here soon I strongly suggest you contact your travel agent, as it effects them all.
I will be back tomorrow of anyone has any questions. BEN

anyone else heard anything about this pamporovo hotel business.. were going in 10 days (wohoo) dont want this to happen though

Sorry ive been home 2 days, talked to the Reps in the airport and they had been assured that the problems were gone, but were still vary wary. Im sure if there are more probs some kind folk will post.Hope it goes well for you, its quite a nice hotel (no where nr 5star standard) but nice all the same.
