re: Pamporovo Hotel

Although Pamporovo Pete probably wouldn't stay here (he flies in by personal jet from St Moritz each day) I've stayed on two occassions in the last few years & thought it was nothing short of great. Haven't been this season, but it surely can't have changed much. If it is bad, perhaps Pete could pay for a transfer to another 5 star hotel .....apparently he earns 75K a year for running this site, which is good by anyone's standards. Fine wines and Belgium chocolates.

re: Pamporovo Hotel

As you say the awful reports were written because some of us were overbooked and were treat badly by the hotel, but at the end of the day you only need sleep in the hotel(if you get a room)!!!

re: Pamporovo Hotel

Got back on saturday 13th Jan. Yes they do overbook, there were 11 of us in the party, one had paid for single occupancy and they bunged him in with two others, he kicked up a major sink and they sorted it 48 hours later. They take liberties with the drink prices in the bars of the hotel, a short walk into the village is well worth it. Mental at meal times due to the undersized dinning room. change your money at the ski depot for a decent rate not in the hotel. we still had a good time ...

re: Pamporovo Hotel

Only stayed at that hotel once, two years ago, but even then there were lots of reports of snooty unhelpful staff, overbooking, overcrowding, bad food, dodgy cleaning and whatever else you can think of to put you off.

We had a fantastic time with no problems at all. (my child was sick in the room, lady came and cleaned up immediately - & much to my embarrassment wouldn't accept a tip - and the reception rang at least twice to check that she was alright).

Don't know how much things ...

Don't know how much things might have changed since then, but my experience was all good & if the recent reports are totally representative it's a great shame for such a lovely place.

re: Pamporovo Hotel

a good site to go on is tripadvisor.com,go to reviews and put in 'hotel pamporovo' i know from experience that these are true,we stayed there for many years but after problems we stayed elsewhere this xmas-and im glad we did!just a real shame that what used to be a great hotel ,has just turned into somewhere that takes peoples custom for granted.other then that pamporovo is brilliant!!
