Can anyone give us any info on Pamporovo. We are going for the 1st time at the end of Feb and would love to hear from anyone about the following:
Hotel food, or best places to eat if hotel food is naff.
Best form of currency to take and where to get the best exchange rate.
Best places to go for apres ski, do they have live musicians?
Is there anywhere to go skidoo-ing, what are the prices??
Should we avoid any places?
What is the Hotel Pamporovo like, i.e rooms, bar, ...

1. Hotel breakfasts are ok! Dinners are not so hot (not sure about Pamporovo hotel), any of the outside restaurants are good, but watch this space for my report when I get back on the 7th feb.
2. Best currency is more often than not Sterling. TC attract a higher rate of commission.
3. Loads of bars in the centre of resort (which is about a 5 minute cab ride from hotel pamporovo costing about 6-8 levs.) again watch for my report.

Hiya,Good report from ally,
I stayed in Perelik which was centre of resort...all the bars and night life within 5 mins walk..as is the Pamporovo hotel. Food in hotel ok...ish but eating out..ally must have had lots to drink for £20........£10 was about the average.
First night had 20levs in my pocket..with the happy hours could not spend it all
You can leave your ski/boots at the malina depot...that was with inghams...sure the rest is the same.

If you spend £20 eating and drinking out you may not be able to get up in the morning.I left my own skis at the malina depot onder the watchful eye of one of the staff. I dont think boots should be a problem.

Hotel Pamporovo is fantastic, 3 lane bowling alley with pool table and bar, Night club(naff), Irish Bar, Pool,sauna,turkish bath,fitness and health spa
Food is good but don't be put off by it's appearance try it

Helen not much I can add but the live musicians bit give the Bulgarian night a try Lamb roasted over an open fire and loads of drink! Great fun.

Morgavets best resturant in resort. nightflight disco is largest and bjs good but small. White hart pub is good after 1am another Disco is daks bar small but packed with locals.
Pamporovo hotel is great ,take own tea and sauces if fussy. Not much in exchange rates, pamporovo hotel is lowest.Dont use boothes, take sterling. Only go on skido,s that are insured. If you want interesting evening get an instructor to take you to his friends restaurant,gauranteed great fun ,food and drink might ...
