Brilliant Hotel, just a little bit away from the main action for nightlife, but only a £2 taxi ride.

You'll love it Razz

Stayed at the Pamporovo from 12th - 19th March, just home a couple of weeks, Its a lovely hotel with lots of nice amenities and bars. The room we had was a bit basic but comfortable enough, and the restaurant was not good. Restaurant staff had no interest in cleaning the tables or serving. Spent their time in the morning playing cards on the computer behing the juice/salad area.We ate out most evenings which was fun along with really nice food and very reasonable with wine approx £15 ...

Their is a chinese restaurant which send a mini-bus to pick you up at the hotel and also take you back when you want (no charge). PS you don't need a taxi to get to any nightlife it is only a 5 minute walk and you will be glad of the fresh air because the hotels, bars and bedrooms are so warm. It is a really nice resort.
Have a great time........... you will love it........ we did..

Hey,

I went to Pamps for New Year this year and had an ace time. I also stayed at the Hotel Pamporovo but found it fab considering it's Bulgaria (you're not going to find the same standard as somewhere like America, France or Austria!). The hotel restaurant was OK, not the greatest but there was plenty of food. I didn't expect 5* standards but I didn't care because of the price I paid for the holiday (lastminute.com - £299 half board!).

Snow was ace, there was plenty of it! It was a great festive atmopshere too. Didn't go into town for the nightlife coz I was too tired from boarding all day! Had a couple of really nice meals out though - at the White House and in the restaurant opposite to it (can't remeber the name!) It was a 5 minute walk to these from the hotel.

You'll have a blast, I'd defo love to go again next year ;o)

re: Pamporovo New Years

I would certainly still use a taxi, especially walking back as the road and paths can be deadly with all the ice.

Over 70% of ski injuries happen when people are walking rather than skiing, and especially if you've had a few beers.
