Well folks - Just home from Pamporovo and thought I'd leave a small comment here for anyone heading out there soon. I was reading a few comments before I left about things getting expensive and the like.
Basically everything is pretty much half price to what you'd pay for them in Ireland. You'll get a local beer for between 3 and 4 Lev which works out about €1.50 to €2.00 a Half Litre. Food is pretty cheap too but not always the best. For the Nitelife I recommend "Daks Irish Bar" and my ...

Well folks - Just home from Pamporovo and thought I'd leave a small comment here for anyone heading out there soon. I was reading a few comments before I left about things getting expensive and the like.
Basically everything is pretty much half price to what you'd pay for them in Ireland. You'll get a local beer for between 3 and 4 Lev which works out about €1.50 to €2.00 a Half Litre. Food is pretty cheap too but not always the best. For the Nitelife I recommend "Daks Irish Bar" and my favourite "The White Hart" - Thats across the road from the Mergavetz Hotel where I stayed. Oh great band on early in the night in The White Hart too.
Skiing was very good but found the green run from the mid station to the bottom a little icy and could be sometimes a bit slippy so take care there. Also skiing school was brilliant and they really do go out of their way to help you out. Id recommend doing the RIngo's some evening too. They're a laugh. Food is also very good around the slopes and not as expensive as I've read on this site already.
Last bit of advice I can leave here is to always agree a price for your taxi before you get in or else you'll pay about 3 times as much.
So anyway folks enjoy ur holiday there. Like I said I found it pretty cheap and im defo going back next year. Im going to recommend it to everyone!!!
