Pamporovo in March

I've given into affordable temptation and booked a single room in a 2* BandB in Pamporovo for a week from March 13th. Any advice?

I did Borovets a few years back ... before the refurbishment drive, so I know what I've let myself in for accomodation wise, but what is the gear like on site? Would I be better to bring my own board (an ancient hard boot Burton Alp) or hire one on site? Is it cheaper booking the ski pack here (board, boots, lift pass and 3 days instruction for about £90) or ...

If there's snow that is!

And if you're in Pamporovo around the 13th and see a long haired, drunken Scotsman belting out Achy Breaky Heart ... just put a blanket over me and leave me be. I'll be better in the morning. Booze

re: Pamporovo in March

Hi Robert I am off on the 13th March staying at the Mourgavets for the 4th time. It is cheaper to get your lift pass and everything else before you go mate. As for the Board well I ski and I know they have had new ski's this year not sure about boards. It is costing me £376 all in going with Inghams Mourgavets is a very good hotel. Anything else I can help you with just ask. Booze

Cheers Daniel ... That'll save the hassle of humping my board and boots through the airport.

Just one other thing .. is there an ATM in the resort?

Hi,

Skiied this year and all ski equiptment was good(most of it new skiis). not sure about snowboard gear. Again book all lift passes equip hire in uk, its much more exspensive in pamps.

if your after cheap hotels, i stayed in hotel Rohzen (2 star), its basic but ok. Got a nice bar, and the 'night flight' club in basement. and good central location.

Yes there is a ATM in pamporovo, and it gives good exchange rate too.(2.7)

Cheers Garry,

I've booked a 2 star B+B through Balkan but it's one of these, 'allocated on arrival' deals. I was hoping for the Rohzen as my mate who's just back says that Night Flight is the place to be on a Friday ... but it could just as easily end up being the Bor or the Evridika (Only 1km from the resort!)
