Hi,
Just returned from a weekend in Pamps checking our apartment etc and thought I would let you know what is currently happening there; well as much as I can make out!
The mid station at Studenets is like a building site! Several new shacks are in the process of being erected and many of the current buildings being worked on. Hi,
Just returned from a weekend in Pamps checking our apartment etc and thought I would let you know what is currently happening there; well as much as I can make out!
The mid station at Studenets is like a building site! Several new shacks are in the process of being erected and many of the current buildings being worked on. That said I was told that all work would be completed by the second week in Feb 13 when a cup competition was due to take place. It would appear that until then there may be some disruption at the mid station. I'm not sure how this will affect the early ski season!
On the positive side I'm sure it will all be for the better in the long run.
Talking of runs, you can; whilst there is no snow, drive to the top of the mountain. A road has been constructed on what was formerly the green ski run. This runs from the top to where all 3 green, blue and red ski runs meet, by the Brothers shack, Peters Pub etc. We drove to the top and it felt wierd driving on the ski slopes! They were also in the process of clearing large rocks etc from many areas which should eventually make it safer for all.
They do seem to be working very hard but it may have been worthwhile for them to have started sooner to ensure that all was ready for December!
If anyone is due out before Xmas I would be interested to know how things are progressing.
We are back out at the end of Jan so will let you all know how we got on when we return.
Oh Pete I do believe I have failed you.
We didn't go to the bottom and neither of us can recall what was at the top in relation to that particular ski lift.
I do have a contact who I can ask so will report back asap
