Pamporovo

Just got back from another fantastic trip to Pamps. Stayed at the Castle for first time and was quite impressed, clean cosy warm [although wasn't that cold out]. The only slight niggle was the transfer to ski centre 2. only one 8 seater mini bus doing 1 run. Was a problem when the driver said he wasn't going to ski centre 2 one morning and wasn't picking us up one afternoon. Happily all sorted promptly by the reps. The snow cover was worst we have seen in 8 years, however we must take our hats off to the piste bashers and the management for how they prepared the pistes using the snow canons each night. Almost all runs open although did get a bit slushy towards end of day, especially when it rained a couple of afternoons. Finished each day at the White Dog where we were well looked after. A new addition this year music outside provided by Rado and Shooky from Pampi [ what used to be the aprez ski bar]. Had a great time with great people and looking forward to returning again next year. Razz Razz

re:Pamporovo

Hi Brynwin glad you had a great time in pamporovo and it sounds like you made the best of the not so great conditions, it also sounds like the resort management have done their best to keep the slopes in good condition, we travel to pamps on the 13th of Feb half term week and have been keeping an eye on the weather, the next 5 days look interesting. I love pamps and are taking some friends for the first time so im hoping its as good as I have told them.

Hi Lloyd you will have a great time, the best snow is due to arrive from beginning of Feb according to some of the locals we were talking to. We can't wait to return next year as we also love it there. Razz
