re: Pamporovo

Imagine, a wonderland of blue skies, white snow and friendly people. Where everybody is there for the same reason, to ski and enjoy themselves.
As it's your 1st time skiing remember, everyone who skis has been there, not knowing where to go what to do or how to do it. Well, your rep and the ski instructors are there for just that reason and by the middle of the week you will be feeling like a veteran, knowing where to go, what to do and how to do it.
You're right you will fall over but ...

You're right you will fall over but try to find a soft patch of snow to fall over in.
Pamporovo is not that big a resort but it's big enough and has enough things to do in the evenings to stop you getting bored.

Enjoy your holiday, and if you see a middle aged teenager on short skis give him a shout, it'll be me.

Stayed in the Finlandia last 2 years. Excellent hotel except the food is not up to much. Also a bit out of the town centre but plenty of taxis which are cheap. Hope you have a good time. We did!

Hi Jody

Have you skiied at all before i.e. any lessons on dry ski slope, if not I would suggest a few leg excercises before you go, just to strengthen the legs.

A good one is standing with back to the wall and bending the knees, good excercise for the front of the thighs, which will probably ache before the end of the week.

We are off to Pamps on the 15th staying at the Markony, travelling from EMA arriving about 9pm in resort, 3 adults and 1 child.

Hope to see you there.
