Pamporovo

Is the resort as basic as the piste map makes it look, there does not seem to be many lifts or runs! I also hear there are a lot of prostitutes in the hotels. is this a safe place to bring young children?

re: Pamporovo

We went to Pamps last year and are returning this year. both times with children. We never seen any prostitutes but we were not looking.
Had a brilliant holiday, but it was our first time skiing. If you are an experienced skier you may find runs a bit short.
Hope you have a great time. Razz Razz

Just returned from Pamps, Yes there are not many lifts 3 man chair lift to the top and single chair to middle station where you can catch a 4 man chair lift to the top, we didnt have much snow and as a result the the runs were not groomed in fact we experienced sking, water sking and ice skating all on the green run in one run down. I was very disappointed with the equipment we recievied from ski depot 1, they are fitted to an average person not individually as they do in other resorts, ...
I was very disappointed with the equipment we recievied from ski depot 1, they are fitted to an average person not individually as they do in other resorts, the people working in the depot sit around smoking and drinking coffee while you struggle to sort out your skis, however our instructor was great.
As to the ladies of the night I never saw any but I did hear reports of them in one of the hotel lobby bars, we took children and they had a great time and were made very welcome wherever they went and overall we had a great time. The lack of good snow was the risk we took going at christmas, I didnt attempt the wall but it looked very very scary.

hope you have a great time.

Hi we went last year and are going back again in feb Took my little lad and he loved it we never had any hassle and not aware of the ladies of the night if they were there they were discreet and did not bother any of the families in our group. We found the range of runs fine and it catered for all and any shortfall is more than made up by the people of Bulgaria who are fab

Hope you have a fab time Razz Razz

re: Pamporovo

Is it safe for young children???? What kind of question is that? You are not going to Iraq you know? People are not going to grab you kids of you in the night. would you ask the same question if you were taking them to Florida? Wich has a high crime rate and very dangerous areas. As for prostitutes yes they are there but funnily enough they tend to go for the single guys as children dont seem to put a lot of business there way.
