Hi.
Just got back from pamporovo recently and as per usual had a fantastic time.
I was amazed at how much the resort and the ski area had changed in a year. New hotels springing up all over the place, the White Hart (RIP) replaced with the Apres Ski Bar - which is a prelude to the forthcoming Ski Depot.
The introduction of ski centres 1 and 2 have split the area in two (I do miss my end of day beer and Chicken Livers at Markony).
I think the change that hit me hardest was ...

I think the change that hit me hardest was the refurb at Dak's Bar. All my graffitti gone for ever!!
Clearly, there has been a lot of investment in the area, and with talk of more runs being opened up in the future, the resort will only get bigger, so I say make hay whilst the sun is shining and to all those people that do not rate Pamporovo as a worthwhile ski destination I say their loss and definitely my gain.
It was good to see old friends again. Trevor, Jenny and George (who is a future Herman Maier in the making). Made some new friends too. Big shout goes out to Jacko and Brad from Sandhurst, Mary, July, Bomber and Razer from Northampton, June from Stevenidge and of course all the party animals from the Emerald Isle who made St Patricks day a day to remember.
Once again thanks to the mad video man Mario for making me look semi decent on a pair of skiis, and to all the locals and instuctors who make the whole journey worthwhile.
Roll on next March.

As I told you we've already booked for next year, 21 Jan and 25 Mar however, we are thinking of changing the March date to a week or 2 earlier. Let me know when your going. I think you are right about the snow in Jamaica.
Please let me know how Dundee gets on in Borovets next week. I'm sure that she will do really well and uphold the honour of the Pamporovo Ski School.
I'm hoping to go back the same week next year (something about St Patrick's Day that really adds to the party atmosphere!).

DavonneWill see you next year then as gonna change our March date, will contact Dundee end of week to see how she's got on. Check this board and I'll leave a message for you. The board gets quiet now as end of season approaches but still good to use.
Showed George your original message saying he could be a future Herman Maier and he was 'made up' about it and now walks around with his head up high - Thanks mate.
