Hey!I want to go to Pamporovo next year either first or last 2 weeks of Feb but will be travelling by myself. Just wondered if anyone out there has had any experience of this? Any handy tips for hotels etc. would be appeciated!

Yes done this in 98. Best holiday I ever had. Make sure you book yourself in ski school and you will make friends quickly. Also post on here when the next season begins you should find some people who are going at the same time as you.As for hotels Mourgavets is great slap bang in midle of resort.

Would agree with Dan on this. Never been on my own,but if your in a ski school you'll find it hard not to make friends. In fact, you will probably end up keeping in touch with the people you meet. The only downside is, you'll probably have to pay a room supplement.Banknote

Looks like even I may have to get away on my own next year....... numerous excuses why the entire crowd cann't make it, from 'moving to Oz', to 'Cann't afford it', to 'just about to have a baby' etc..Only reason Mrs IMT may not be avaliable either is that we are about to embark on the latest in a line of IVF attempts, so fingeres crossed.

About room supplement:
if you travel with a group then you get lucky and don't have to pay any supplement!! I did this now twice.
Other thing is that they do extra's (pubnight, free visit Sofia) all in the price..
Third: yes, you have more contact with locals and others. The only thing that you have to do is to open your mouth (talk!) and don't sit somewhere in a corner. Ask to join them!
Normally the price for singles is 50 - 100 euro extra.
Don't book the Rila! Too much ...
