Pamprovo on Tuesday - worth travelling?

Hi All

I am due to go out to Pamps on Tuesday (till Saturday) - looking at the snow reports and forecasts (+10 on some forecasts all week) I am not sure that it will be worth it - can anyone give an up to date report on conditions.

Just flew back to UK this afternoon. Green 6 (tower to Malina) wearing thin in parts and chopping up in the afternoon as it becomes slushy. Reds and blacks are generally OK. Stoikite runs are OK. The Smolian lakes run has been closed for most of the week due to bare patches and I doubt it will reopen this season.

Over the back of the tower (where the snowboarders tend to learn) has varied this week between being really slushy pm as it catches the sun, and with a thin hard crust over chopped up snow on some mornings following an overnight freeze.

Temps have been up to + 10c this week, and rooftop snow is in fast melt. There has been no new snow this week.

If you go in the next few days you should find some ski-ing, but without new snow as you are hoping it is the tail end of the season.

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks for the feedback Mark, reckon I will give it a go (ironically the biggest challenge looks like battling through the snow on the way to Stansted!)

Hello mate, glad I came, conditions are still fantastic. All runs open apart from the lakes run.
A few isolated bare patches + a bit soft in the afternoon low down but great apart from that.

Thursday afternoon was a washout, torrential rain + high winds meant lifts were shut by 12.

Been snowing today so some fresh powder + looks like it will carry on (chucking it down now!)

Resort very quiet.

Enjoy!
